Wagon Wheel Sams July Newsletter 2010
July 2010 Newsletter The newsletter is early this month because we have a couple issues that need to be addressed as soon as possible. First, there were a few members that are concerned that the camping at Goshen County Fair Grounds is too close together. The problem has been solved. Dave and Ken have been working with the people up there and we have 20 sites on the grass. They are wide enough to open your awning if you desire. The sites are electricity only (no water) with a cost of $15.00 per night. We also have the pavilion for the meal and meeting. Make your plans now. This is a pretty good deal. We’ll be there July 16th, 17th and 18th. It has been brought to my attention that several of our Wagon Wheel Sams Newsletter Chapter members are upset with my since of humor. I assure you that my comment about Alvin Banghart in the back of Harry’s truck was made in fun. I know that my comment was probably in bad taste, but you need to understand that a lot of what Alvin and I do is in bad taste. I talked to Alvin and he and Cindy thought it was funny. I also told him that if I didn’t like him I would not be making fun of him. We joined this Chapter to have fun, but it seems there are some of you that don’t like it when we are laughing and having a good time. To those of you who don’t like the way I do things, I’ll give you a quote from my dearly departed Father. “You can get glad in the same underwear you got mad in.” From now on it will be strictly business with no jokes or frills. Have a good day. The June 19th meeting was called to order at 1:10 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and Flag Salute. Roll call was read with 16 rigs represented. We were honored to have Cindy Banghart’s mother, Marie Darnstaedt, Rich and Barb Kissler, Ron and Gail Ledesma and grandchildren, and Chet and Wanda’s grandson,Tucker as our guests.
