Capitol Sams – July 2018

President Mert LeBreton called the meeting to order with a roll call. Present were: Judy & Mahlon Dickey, Donna Hansen, Jan & Bob Sibal, Mert & Fred LeBreton, Lee & Norma Maler, and Jerry & Barb Froistad.  The camp out was held at the Crete City Park in Crete, Nebraska.  Judy made a motion to accept Jerry and Barb Froistad as new members to the club. Fred seconded it and we all welcomed Jerry and Barb to our club.

Treasurer’s Report:  After a $20 gift card from Walmart for a door prize for the Rally we have a balance of $186.90 to our account. Our dues are $13 a rig. Three dollars of that goes to the State Treasurer.

Judy brought up the “Dogs for the Deaf”, a project the Good Sam’s Club donates to every year. She asked Director Norm Richardson to check out the cost of these dogs to applicants.  Judy also would like our club to do a poster for the Rally for next year. The theme for the Rally is “Down on the Farm”.

Next Camp out was scheduled for Cunningham Park in north Omaha.  The park had some flooding so we voted to change the August camping to be at Weeping Water City Park. So the next two camp outs will be:   August 13, 14, & 15 – Weeping Water City Park and September 10, 11, & 12 – Schautauqua City Park in Beatrice.  The group usually eats out on Monday evening with a pot luck on Tuesday evening. Also, 8 am on Monday morning we share some goodies to go with our coffee.

Mahlon made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Norma seconded.

Respectively submitted, Norma Maler
