Around the Campfire

Our September campout at Lake Ogallala had a good turnout. Some of our group went over on Thursday and made a long weekend of it. We did not camp but drove over on Saturday afternoon and had a fun time visiting with everyone. Bob had an accident slipping on the rocks while fishing. I told him that is why I ride a motorcycle. It’s much safer than fishing. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery. Sharon had surgery last week to repair a hernia. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers too.

Our Christmas dinner this year will be at the Civic Center like last year. I made the reservation for noon on December 12th. I also talked to the people doing the Knights of Columbus toy run, and because of the COVID-19 virus it has been moved to November 14th. If we can get in the club house some of us will have coffee and donuts for the riders. I just heard from the toy run people and we can get in the club house on the 14th so we can do coffee and donuts for the riders.

I just reserved a site at Rubidoux and there a few sies left for the 15th through the 17th. If you plan on camping, I advise making a reservation. We are planning to go to the log cabin for Thursday’s dinner and Friday night we will have pizza at the club house. If you plan to do the pizza let Jim or Sharon know so we know how many pizzas to order. Saturday, our host Charlene Case is having a carry in. We will start at 5:30. Hope to see y’all there.

Meeting

Although we did not have a real meeting. We discussed and voted on a few things. Jim gave a treasure’s report and it was approved. He also brought up the idea of having the Christmas dinner at the Civic Center like last year and listed the available dates. We all decided on Dec 12th at noon. The club will pay half of the fee for dinner. Someone made the motion to accept and someone else second. Motion carried.

We had to elect officers and Bob made the motion to keep the officers the same with Doris seconding. The motion carried. We also nominated Norm Richardson for State Director and Ray Fink for State Treasurer. It is time to pay the state per rig dues and Bob made a motion to pay with someone second. The motion carried. Sharon reminded us that club 2021 dues are coming due.

There being no further business the meeting that did not happen did not adjourn.

DON’T FORGET IT’S TIME TO PAY YOUR 2021 DUES
